I read his question completely wrong. I was thinking he WAS talking about card images. D'oh!

BTW, do you require JPEGs for card images? Because that would be the way to go in my mind....

Also, will there be a specific size required for ALL card images, or will they just be as big or as small as the author wants? If standardized, will they be the exact size of the card?

Also, will card images be supported in the WK games? They could just have a pic of the fig, or, even better, you could finally have dial pics like the ones available on the WK official site. You could even set it up somehow to have both, which would be REALLY useful. In fact, in a future update, you could set up a special view setting to allowing viewing the dial(s) of a fig as a whole. I don't know how the other planned CMGs will work, but you might be able to do something similar for them too.

Do *NOT* use JPEGs for bitmaps! Why? Because they won't work. Why didn't we
add support for this? Because a 16x16 bitmap (probably a bit large for
bitmaps inserted into description text) is actually smaller as a BMP than a
JPEG.

And besides, as long as a file is less than 64KB in size, it uses the exact
same amount of disk space on your computer. It doesn't matter whether it's
4 bytes in size of 63K in size. It still uses up 64K on the disk. So your
assertion is only valid for files larger than 64K and therefore not
applicable to data file authoring.

JPEGs are ONLY supported for card images, which are a completely different
matter.

Since images are served from publisher websites, we have to support
whatever the publishers use. So we do not restrict things to JPEGs.

No. That's decided by the publishers. So we have to adapt to what they
choose. You can look at how this works in CV for an example.

You can take a look at the WK data files to see for yourself. This is
already working in the current MK files. The image URLs have been there for
awhile. V1.3 finally does something with them. :-) Images for the other WK
games will be added in the next updates.
