Rob,

I don't remember seeing this before, but when I start AB 2.0b it says "(Not
Licensed)". I am using the CD of 1.4d. It appears to work just fine.

Thanks,

That just means you don't have a "Licensed" version. If you did, your
license number would appear in that spot - it's new in 2.0b.

Doesn't the "CD Version" count as being licensed? Hmmm.... nothing to hold
my breath for (and would have been great if I noticed it during 2.0a) but
maybe Rob can put "CD Version" instead of "Not Licensed" when the program
detects the CD. 2.0c I guess...

Don't all the bugs come out on the day of a release?

It wasn't there in v2.0a so you wouldn't have noticed it :-)
I agree, "CD License" as opposed to "Not Licensed" does give you
appropriate warm and fuzzies :-)
One for v2.1 Rob?

Russell.

Damm it!! It figures that something stupid like this would slip through!
It's just a stupid oops in displaying the proper info. A bunch of people
asked for it, so I added it in, and then no one caught that it failed to
recognize the CD properly. The program recognizes the CD properly, but the
splash screen display didn't. :-(

Notice I said "didn't". Since this is something that is going to generate
lots of confused users (read: support questions), I cheated. I fixed it and
re-uploaded V2.0b. Yes, I know this is not generally a good practice (OK,
it's usually a BAD practice), but I did it anyways. :-)

Anyone who downloaded V2.0b within the past 8 hours should just download it
again. The splash screen is the ONLY thing that changed, and this only
affects CD users. So, you only need to grab V2.0b again if: (a) you use the
CD and find the message distressing, or (b) you have nothing better to do. :-)

Thanks, Rob
