Ok, I am running a Wizard, Thassilonian Specialist archetype, Evocation school.

As his 4th character level, I took a level of Arcanist, no archetype. For the Arcanist's Exploit, I am trying to take School Understanding for Evocation, but it only shows Admixture and Generation as options.

Side effects:
Intense, in the Wizard tab, greys out when Admixture is chosen for the Arcanist, but the Special tab shows it working, with the correct modifier.

Each spellbook, for levels other than 0 level, only show spells that are not in the other class's spellbook.

Right now, to get the character to more-or-less work, I have chosen Admixture, but I don't think that is actually technically legal, but I may be mixing up the Sorcerer bloodline rules with schools of magic.

Anyone else having this issue, or is it because of the archetype? Also, any ideas of a workaround I could implement (note: I am a novice when it comes to the HL Editor, so answers based on using it should be given in simple terms for me, please).

I'd suggest bug reporting it, and I expect it'll get fixed fairly quickly once you do.

The "2 spellbook classes can't have the same spell in different spellbooks" thing is a longstanding and nasty issue, so that may not be addressed as quickly as you like. The other thing might be simpler to tackle, I'll leave it up to Mathias (who is handling bugs this week).

The spellbooks thing is, while I am sure technically nasty, apparently not something to worry about from a PC perspective, since, other than the Thassilonian Specialist's prohibited schools, the research I did seems to show he should be able to prepare any legal spell in an appropriate spell slot.

I have the "Added to the to-do list" for the other issue, which is what my bug report was about. Seemed to be the more important issue...

Update: The spellbook issue is actually being a headache, as well.

For a second PC I am running who is also going to be the same classes, I ad to massage the two spellbooks so the spells were in the spellbook for the class that is going to be preparing them.

Not too bad, but, this will affect anyone who finds that they want to prepare the same non-cantrip spell in a slot for both classes.
