Hello! Just wanted to touch base and see where this project was at? I'm likely to be playing some D6 in the near future, so I figured I'd see if someone had cleverly implemented it for Hero Lab.

Hi All,
Been a while since I've had time to work on this. This year has been kinda crazy busy with work, two rpg's a week, beta testing two computer games, and realm works and trying to help someone else's hero lab mod. I expect things to slow down soon and I will put up the design documents I have been working on. Will be looking to rebuild this system to make sure it's going to meet the game requirements. This may be done in June. |

Rework on the datasets this weekend has been helpful. Here is the list of what I have done.
- Update design document to reflect new direction in development - Document changes and values used to get my results - Redesign was a back to basics approach to allow the design to make sense - Character creation given overhall and changes are as follows: -- Start with a template -- Select a race with some options greyed out due to template restrictions -- Choose to be force sensitive if not already -- Assign attributes (TODO) -- Assign starting skills (TODO) -- Buy equipment (TODO) -- Accept of change flavour text (TODO) - Future versions to cover the following: -- Custom Template (do your own thing with attributes) -- Custom Race (selectable abilities and racial stats) -- Force Users (not in initial version, though mostly complete) -- Droids (not in initial version) -- Vehicles -- Starships -- Equipment (may not be finished by first version) if you want to look at the design document, please feel free to PM me with your email address and I'll send you a copy. |

I'm looking forward to this. D6 is my prefered Star Wars RPG and hope to run some again soon.

Here is a sample of the current printed sheets.
Will be working more on this to show special abilities, but it does cater for force and advanced skills. |

Still a work in progress.
The right side is information generated from the Template. Still have work to do on it, but will be happy if I can get all the template part working as a first cut. I expect to get more done this weekend and I am arranging hosting of the datafile so I'll post a link to that when it is done. Then people can download, help debug and comment. |

Current version up on http://www.cheeseweasel.net/.
Its currently in a rar format due to being 52.3 MB and too large for me to email in one piece. I will look into hosting it somewhere I can also host an update stream for future updates. otherwise I'll just post here when I have done another update. This version is very basic so think of it as creating from a template, but not buying any items. |
