I'm on windows 10 and I've deleted some old porfolios, yet they remain in the app icon when I right click it. Unpinning doesn't remove them, nor does opening new porfolios replace them.

Biggest problem is I remade one of those characters, but no matter how many times I open him, the recent list always tries to open the non existent old version.

Any ideas?

I had this issue myself; ff you right-click an item on the Recent list, there will be an option to Remove from this list.

Currently Running: Pathfinder Second Edition
Currently Playing:
Pathfinder First Edition, Star Trek Adventures
Former HL Games: D&D 4e & 5e, Mutants & Masterminds 2E & 3E, Savage Worlds

Send a message to Lone Wolf support - hopefully they can help you sort this out.

I don't know that there's anything to be done.

It looks to me like the OS extends the application's "Recently Used Files" list to the shortcut in the Start Menu.

If you move or delete a Word or Excel file, that doesn't change the entry in the "Recently Used" files in those applications, either. The lists are just a convenient way to quickly get to files you are likely to want to use. It is just "remembering" what the last files used were (and where they were located). If you make a change to them, the list won't "know" that.

If you try to access one of them, when the OS is unable to find it, it will put up a dialog telling you so. If I recall correctly, the options then are to "browse to find it" and (maybe?) "remove from the list".

All of that is part of the OS features, though, and somewhat outside LoneWolf's control as long as they make use of "Recently Used Files" (as far as I know).

As soon as you start making, using, and saving new portfolios, they will replace the oldest entries on the list... and eventually, they will all be replaced.

Pretty much what Silveras said.

Ignore them for now.
Use other stuff, that you're actually wanting.

The problem will sort itself out, as they're eventually not the top 'x' number of files recently used.

A microsoft forum for windows, may know of a way to display fewer recent files or modify what is shown, or not show any at all.
I'm not sure how to do that, myself.
