Hello Forum

When I print a Hero, I notice the Feat and Special Abilities explanatory texts are truncated to 3 lines. Is there anyway to turn this truncation off so the full description would be printed?

Sincerely
Bill S

There's no way to do it that I know of with the standard character sheet. You might want to look at Custom Output; you can download and add Ancient One's Sheet and/or Armidale's Sheet from the Updates screen and both of those give you an HTML sheet you can customize before printing.

So, you need to edit the html or does it display in a GUI sort of way. Or is a PDF editor a better choice?

We put summaries in the main character sheet, but then offer the option to print out an appendix with the full descriptions.

Both sheets give you check boxes to customize the layout somewhat (Ancient One's more than Armidale's), then you can print it to PDF or physical printer (with Armidale's sheet you need to switch the text encoding to Unicode before you customize or print).

As Mathais said the option to print FULL description text is part of normal HL. You do NOT have to use the custom sheets. Those are an option.

When you print your character it asks for a dossier type you want the ability/description one. You will get a full print out of all abilities and text.

Hi Shadow

Yes, I can see that dossier type. What I was after was full description on the main sheet. Although without being able to make adjustment to which items get a full description I can see how it might become cumbersome.

Overall I have to say HL is an amazing tool, real fun to play around with. One of my good friends is the owner of D20Pro so I am excited to see how the integration works.

Sincerely
Bill S
