I want to create a feat called 'Private Investigator", the feat should be free to pick (costs no feat). And should add:

Bluff,
Gather Information,
Diplomacy

To the list of skills of the character so he can level it as if it were a class skill.

I've got the editor open, but it's quite hard to figure out how to add something like this although it seems like a small thing.

//edit

Figured out that adding this to the feat:

perform hero.child[cHelpRgr].assign[ClassSkill.kBluff]
perform hero.child[cHelpRgr].assign[ClassSkill.kGatherInf]
perform hero.child[cHelpRgr].assign[ClassSkill.kDiplomacy]

Gives the skills to the class. Now I have to figure out how to remove the cost of the feat.

//edit. Changed it from a feat to a trait and fixed it.

one simple approach is to check the box allowing for an upbringing feat which would be free for any pc

Keep in mind this only works if the character has at least one level in Ranger. if the feat requires that character be a Ranger, then that may be all you need. If not, you might want to look into using a class chooser or simply applying the skills as class skills to all classes.
