Deadlands Noir v1.0 released!

The Deadlands Noir data file should now be available in Hero Lab.To get it just start up the program, click the "Find Updates" button and look for "Savage Settings: Deadlands Noir" to download it.

As usual if anyone sees any issues, problems, screw-ups or even just typos please let me know and I'll be happy to get it fixed.

The known things to be aware of are that, like for Hell on Earth Reloaded, the Dominion trait shows for all characters, not just Harrowed. I've yet to work out a way to hide it without causing other errors so we're stuck with that unless someone else can figure it out. I figure that's pretty minor.

Also the rules declare that all characters start with the Poverty hindrance. The problem is that if you take the Comfortable Edge it should just remove the Poverty Hindrance as its effect, but I've yet to find a good way to do that either. So instead the effects of the Poverty hindrance are applied to the character but the Hindrance is not listed on the sheet. Taking Comfortable will appropriately set starting cash to $150, though, and Rich and Filthy Rich also adjust money appropriately (as will Destitute.) So it's just something to be aware of that while the Poverty Hindrance doesn't show on the character sheet you ca rest assured that the effects are still applied appropriately.

Added Healing to the Voodoo spells list.
Fixed short name of AB: Voodoo to say Voodoo, rather than Shamanism.

Getting an error since I DLed the Deadlands: Noir file...

Thing 'creDNDigge' - Bootstrap thing 'abBlind' does not exist.

Thanks I'll take a look at that. Quick fix if you need it would be to pull up the DLNoir.user file in the the Editor go to the Creature tab and either delete Digger or go to the Bootstrap button on the Digger and remove the entry for abBlind. I'm guessing I pulled Blind out of something like the Fantasy Companion or something, and if you don't have that it could explain the issue. It's hard to tell sometimes when making files when I do that.

Thanks for putting this together!

I have a couple of things.

1) I didn't see healing in the Voodoo list
2) Voodoo is called Shamanism in the "abilities" list

3) It crashes multiple times in multiple places (most reliably, it crashes when I try to add a knife as a weapon)


I'm using the Mac version

I don't do anything with the program side, I've just been making data files and LoneWolf asked if I'd be willing to make them available "officially", so the crashing effects I'm not sure if I can fix those. Although I'll see if maybe I have something on Knife that could be causing a problem. Let me see what I can see on the other stuff, too, and see what I can throw together on those. Thanks for the feedback!

EDIT: I didn't see anything on the entry I have for Knife so I don't think there is anything specific to the data file that might cause any crashes. Maybe somebody from LoneWolf could look at that, though. The other two items will be up momentarily.
