Hi All!

I'm working on an edge that does the following:

While not previously Gifted, exhaustive meditation, 
exposure to Arcane energy, and invasive procedures have 
given her 5 Power Points that can only be used with one 
Novice-level power, which she gains immediately and can 
use despite not having the Arcane Background Edge. She 
must purchase the associated Arcane Skill separately, and 
is subject to the Backlash effect of whichever Arcane 
Background she picked the power from.

Is there an existing edge in HL like that? If not, any suggestions on the best way to implement it?

You could set up a separate Arcane Background with just that one Power. Then create the Edge for it and make it free.
