When I am in my inventory and am looking at, let's see the a portion
of my cards which are in alphabetical order and I hit the letter "B"
instead of jumping to the B's it jumps farher down the page. Not
sure why that is.

We'll need more detail to analyze. What's the game system, what's the
filter, where in the list are you, and where does it jump to?

This happend to me in the inventory portion for Magic the Gathering.

Onslaught cards.

I just tried it, and it worked fine. I filtered for Onslaught only, selected
the third card in the list (Airborn Aid), pressed B, and it jumped to the
Bs. Repeated pressings then stepped through the Bs until it reached Butcher
Orgg, and then it stopped moving, as there were no more Bs. What behavior
did you get?

Were you alphabetized by name, or did you have a different sort order up?

Okay, I did it by name with my cards in the inventory. Its starnge,
when I hit the letter a or b now it works, but when i try other
letters it jumps around in no discernible pattern.

I think he wants an incremental search also.

Okay, so you're in the inventory screen. You have filtered for Onslaught.
Are there any other settings we shoudl know of? What's your sort order? And
when you press, say, the C key, where does CV jump to?

Okay I have Onslaught, Legions, Torment, Oddyssey, Judgement and 7th
edition. All cards are seclected as such that they are in
alphabetical order. When I hit the letter "C" while I have the
second card from letter "A" highlighted, it jumps down to a card
about 30 cards into the letter "D" The only filters being the ones I
mentioned, no types specified.

Wow, for me, it popped straight to Cabal Archon. Rob, this is in your hands
now.

This is an error that was reported previously and discussed here on the
list. The issue is that the quick search and letter jump mechanisms fail in
V1.1 when used in conjunction with the language/style restriction settings
in the inventory. If the language/style restrictions are not utilized, the
problem does not occur. Most likely, that's why Ed can't reproduce the problem.

The good news is that this bug has been fixed in the V1.1a update the was
just released. :-)

Thanks, Rob
