Are you syncing with wireless by any chance? Sometimes I'm syncing by wireless - other times its via hardwire. Last night for example was via hard wire and it took almost an hour. It did have to download the entire realm from the cloud due to changes, but even still, it was ridiculous.
If I use my tablet (which is what I use for running our RPG games) then it just times out it takes so long. If compressing the file system works then I'll give that a go, presumably on of my devices that use the system? |

I used to have a heap of problems with syncing. Turned out to be my network connection was dodgy.

Considering the size of your db my guess is this. You need to check if you connection is noisy or the like.
