Just discovered another problem with the 40K datafiles and the latest version AB3.2. A rule which is located in the general5Dat.dat file called gnTpt02 is supposed to be used to validate squads and transports taken by that squad. If the number of models in that squad exceed the transports capacity, an error is thrown up. For some reason this no longer works...

Works in AB3 with the same verison of the files. For reference, the squads use a procedure call to gnTptSpace to determine how many members there are in the squad, and transports use a number of procedure calls gnTpt'n' - where n equals the capacity of that transport to assign it tags that it is actuallly a transport and the maximum number that it can carry. These procedure calls are also in the general5dat.dat file.

To see something where this actually works, you can use the Witch Hunters file, select a Battle Sisters Squad from the roster selection, take the transport option labeled "Mount in Rhino" and then add models to the squad. The Rhino has a capacity of ten models, so the moment you add any model to the Battle Sisters squad it should throw up the warning.

I was trying to add the above procedure to another race and could not get it to work and then found that it wasn't working at all anymore. Please advise if our programming is incorrect or if there is something else funny here...

Many Thanks,
Eric J.

Hmm, I'll take a look at this first thing tomorrow. Thanks for the report.

Sorry for taking longer than I expected, I got distracted last week. I've looked into this, and I've figured out what I screwed up in AB3.2b to cause this - we should be able to get a fix for this into AB3.2c, which will be out soon.

Thanks for the report!
