HLO Standard upgrade to Patron

If I were to purchase a Standard license, do I have the option to later upgrade to Patron before the 6 months period is up?
 
It I remember correctly from when I upgraded to Patron, you'll get a credit for the pro-rated balance of your existing subscription and your new subscription will start from the upgrade date.
