Only the Battle Standard Bearer should be able to take a Rune of Guarding

Howdy,

Thanks for working on the files for all of us lazy sods... ops: I think I have found a minor bug.

The Dwarf unit Master Engineer will allow me to take a Great Weapon as well as a Runic (magic) weapon.

Better still (for us dwarfs anyway  ) is the that the files will also allow me to "ruin up" the same great weapon and still keep my +2 ST bonus at the same time (gee, I WISH! ).

This same limitation works perfectly with Thanes for example.

Thanks again for the work you do on the files.

GG

Okay, I am now (as of the last week or so) getting the error "Unit Dwarf Lord: Your General Must have magic powers".

Other than that it validates fine.

Might it be that said great/runic weapon waits for the master rune of Kragg the Grim? That does allow a runic greatweapon, after all.

No, that was not it. But, I kid you not, I just opened it this AM, first time since last night's all nighter painting session-break...and the error is gone. I have had it pop up a few times in the last week. If it happens again I will give it a through debug, but my lord was maxed on ruins with runic weapon and armor (no other items). Most strange...

Okay, I nailed down the error I am getting (I think). It is the same error I get on my vampire counts list if I try to take a general that can not cast spells. I am getting the validation error that states "<insert leader name here> must have magic powers"

I have uploaded the rst and pdf output files in case these will help and they can be found at:

http://home.swbell.net/grog1/misc/dwarfroosterbug.rst

and

http://home.swbell.net/grog1/misc/dwarfroosterbug.pdf

Email me if you need anything else.

Thanks for all the work on the roosters you do!

GG

PS I tried to "upload" the roster here but it would not allow the rst extension...what exactly is the point then?!?

A small bug in the notes regarding pistols.

It states that they can be used in close combat at a ST of 4. While this is the case in 6e, this is not so in 7e. They simply count as a HW in 7e (a brace counts as 2xHW).

Thanks,
GG
