Hello,
Perhaps I should know this already, or this is a "RTFM" issue. I looked for info on the website, and I searched this website for info, to no avail, so I am posting here. I have a new computer, and wish to transfer my license from my old computer to my new. I read the part about "once every 180 days" and some such, that's fine. I have my license # and my password, but where on the website do I perform the license management? Or is this handled from within the application? I had loaded 2.x and 3.0, both mainly because there are no Tyranid files available for 3.0 yet (I know someone is working on them, that's cool, but there's a con in a couple of days....) Anyways, it caused a conflict with something else I had loaded, I think it might have been Lotus Notes, and I had to un-install it. So when I re-install it, how do I get it out of demo mode? Are those website troubles still preventing me from doing this? Thanks for your help. |

The website troubles should only be impacting our ability to send email to
people on some ISPs. Everything else should be operational. Transfering a V2.x license is handled via the V2.x license adminsitration website, which is www.xlonewolf.com. There is a link to this site from our main site within the licensing section, but it's apparently not very obvious. This site is also outlined in the original license email you received when you purchased AB. Info on how to transfer your license will be found in the original license email and on the license admin site. You'll need the info within the original licnese email in order to login to the site and complete the transfer, so please make sure you have it handy. Fortunately, everything to do with license activation is VASTLY simplified for AB3 compared to the old way of doing things. :-) Hope this helps, Rob At 06:36 PM 2/15/2005 +0000, you wrote: >Hello, > >Perhaps I should know this already, or this is a "RTFM" issue. From the top of the website, it is "ArmyBuilder 2.x" > "V2.X Product Support" > "License Management" > "Take me to the License Administration site." >From there, it was pretty straightforward. |
