That is strange, I loaded everything and the system informed me that everything was up to date.

I went in and updated anyway. It fixed the problem. Thank you for your assistance.

You're not the first to mention that. I think I'm getting something wrong with the update mechanism that's preventing HL from properly notifying you when updates are available. I'll be looking into that soon.

I'm also going to start making sure that any time I release a supplement package (like SoPEx or a handbook), I also give DDS an up-to-date version of the core package. That way anyone who buys both at once can load them up and be working straight away even if they don't set up the update URL.

Basically two version numbers to keep in sync. The one you do when you build the .hl file. And then you have to update the updates.xml file (ie the URL) to match that version.

If you look at the Pathfinder Pack updates.xml in a browser:
http://www.shadowsoftware.net/herola...rd/updates.xml

The major="1" minor="3" elements must match to the version that is being released. For community Pack v1.3 is the current release...

I do have that part set up. At least, I'm 95% sure it's right - it works as far as refreshing the available version in the updates menu, it just doesn't give that "hey there's a new version of this package" notification when you first load the game system. I'm going to shoot you my files so you can see if there's anything I'm doing wrong.

Level 6 ranger, wis +3, DC showing up as 13. Isn't it supposed to be 14, or did I read the rules wrong?

That depends on the actual caster level. If you have the -3 default option still on, then it should be 10 + (3/2)/2 + 3 = 13. In the other case, 10 + (6/2)/2 + 3 = 14.

I was operating under the *minimum 1* that's usually associated with cutting things in half, but I see that's not actually printed in the SoP book.

Well, the CL 0 is treated as CL 1, so there is a minimum 1. It just doesn't help you in this scenario.

You have a 5th level human character, with 6 feats chosen. You should only have four, three for character level, and one for being human. Your images show that you are granted 2 "combat feats" that you HAVEN"T chosen. Delete two of the feats you selected on the "Feats" tab, and then select them on the "Spiritualism Tradition" tab. That should clear your errors.
