OK, folks, I'm running into a little snag, and I wanted to get user opinions.
The Occupations come with a bit that's causing issues. It's the Bonus Credits for each Advance. If I program these into the Advances, they have to happen once when the Advance is taken, and not reset every time something changes on the character. Also, if a user is one who likes to change their mind and take a different Advance (even perhaps do this several times), then there's the issue of having to remove what the previous Advance added. And some of these contain random elements, so returning to the previous value gets interesting. So, my question is: Is this something that we need to cover in Hero Lab, or is it acceptable to handle that manually with Journal entries? _ Currently In Development: Savage Pathfinder, SWADE Fantasy Companion Future Development: SWADE Super Powers Companion, SWADE Sci-Fi Companion _ Currently Running: Savage Unity Inc. (homebrew multiverse theme) Setting Files Supported: Deadlands: Reloaded, Flash Gordon, Gaslight, Hellfrost, Interface Zero 2.0, Seven Worlds, Slipstream, Solomon Kane Future Setting Files: Savage Judge Dredd |

CapedCrusader,
I would say that manually with journal entries is acceptable. No need to complicate the code further. Salcor |

Yeah. Probably a good idea to make it clear in the Occupations entry that they'll have to do it manually, though.

I too would say use the journal entry. We don't want to do that with too many things, but I think for this it's probably best.
