If this has been asked elsewhere, apologies...

Is there any plan by LWD to allow HL character files to be shared via iCloud instead of Dropbox in the near future?

*crickets*

So, I guess that's a "no," then?

I only ask because I would really like to avoid using Dropbox if at all possible, given it's rather long history of security issues, culminating in this:

Granted, the issue described only affects Mac users (such as I), but it is worrying nonetheless.

To do this all you should have to do is enable ICloud Drive on your IOS device through settings. You'll then be able to use Icloud the way you use DropBox.

Activating iCloud does not make Hero Lab use it. Simply go to iCloud->iCloud Drive and scroll down : Hero Labs is not present.

iCloud will contains the data inside your iOS device only if you use iCloud for backups but it is not the same thing as Dropbox.

I also whish there was iCloud integration. I would stop using Dropbox if it was the case.

I would love to see the option to connect Herolab to either one drive, icloud or what ever other cloud storage system you want.

Although that said, I am migrating to just using a surface pro instead of an IPad for gaming....so once I can get my portfolios off my ipad, and into onedrive the case becomes moot....but still even for realmworks etc would be nice to configure your own cloud storage location.

RW is not using a very basic "file" sharing tool. RW Cloud is a custom built database management server built from the ground up to support RW.

You will never ever get to use some "generic" cloud service with RW. You will always be using the RW master server to upload/download your realms.
