Warriors of Chaos released!!

hello,

I have released a new set of files with the Warriors of Chaos stuffs included! you can download them through the updates emchanism in the usual way :~)

i will be checking out the lizardman list next, so it should be in soon too. please post any problems in this thread and i will get them fixed

Thx so far for doing the job:

I've seen the first mistakes while creating an army:
- book of secret costs 25pts (40 pts is wrong)
- collar of khorne can be worn from any character (doesn't have to be a khorne hero anymore)
- banner of rage can be given any unit (no more restrictions exist)
- there is no option to give an exalted hero a battlebanner
- warshrine of tzeentch is able to reach a 3+ ward save instead of a 4+
- marks of chaos for a giant are different to the other cummon marks.

Just my 2 cents to the first beta...

Thanks Robert. Also noted:
- the support forum info still points to the old forum.
- page 106 says that chaos sorcerers may use magic shields, even though they don't get normal shields.
- warshrine header says 'Chaos Ogres'.
- Mark of Tzeentch doesn't seem to be modifying existing wards (eg Talisman of Protection, warshrine) correctly, instead it adds another ward save.

Just so you guys are aware, a FAQ for WoC was very recently released (18 Feb). It sorts out a number of the more common issues that I've encountered. Probably most important are:

- BSB may not be General
- Chaos Sorcerers (and Sorcerer Lords) can use Magical Shields
- Book of Secrets does not grant access to Arcane Items

There are also a number of other issues with the file.
- other Items are incorrectly priced (Not just Book of Secrets)
- Marks do not restrict (most) items any more
- Scyla has Magic Resistance (3)
- Marks on Chariot must match character using it as a Mount

I've changed the item costs for myself, but I have no idea how to make the other changes

another error is in the demon prince- if he takes a mark he looses ability to take magic levels

golden eye of tzeech is incorrectly priced as well

Yes, the Mark of Tzeentch isn't working quite right. Armor of Morrslieb + Mark of Tzeentch returns a +4/+6 ward save...

But at least now I can start using AB !

oh, and I've also noticed that Throgg doesn't make Trolls a Core choice (or even make Core an option for them)

Thanks for the work!

Only the mark of tzeentch isn't allowing daemon prices to pick levels, slaanesh and nurgle work fine. However, the options allow you to take multiple marks, which you are only allowed to take 1. Also have "causes fear" twice in the daemon prince spec.
