Will there ever be a way for pdfs to be usable in the any of the map features? Most of the maps that I have are PDFs. I would really like to try the Piazio flip maps I have with the fog of war feature.

Try using the snapshot tool in Adobe Reader and pasting that into paint. You can then save as an image file for use in Realm Works.

Some PDF files will also let you right-click pictures and copy them out to the clipboard, if that helps any.

PDFs are not themselves map images. PDFs CONTAIN map images. You'll need to extract the map image from the PDF for use as a smart image within Realm Works.

There are various tools available for this purpose. You can also just snip the map image from the PDF. You'll find some discussion about this in a separate thread over here:
