Currently the stat block for a character only allows txt based input. It would be nice to allow pictures as screen shots can be much faster to import than getting nicely formatted text/html.

You can add a picture as a snippet, and change the name of the snippet to "stat block" to achieve this.

Indeed, this is a good idea. I should have realized this as it seems quite obvious.

When I saw the title, I was hoping this was asking to include a simple picture instead of the bust silhouette with Statblock snippets. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to use two snippets for every creature?

Two snippets is required for each creature. The one holding the picture could also be shown in the Player View so that the players can see what they are facing.
