I would love to get information on this ASAP because my Windows PC just crashed and burned, and I'm only left with my Mac.

The latest update on the Mac was included in our newsletter that went out last night. You'll also find the newsletter on our website:

Well thanks for the info! Gah, guess I've got to find a way to fix my issues sooner instead of holding out (dangit)!

How about getting VirtualBox - it's free? Then setup Hero Lab in a Windows VM on your Mac. Would that work?

Or, if it's a Mac with an Intel processor, you could set up Boot Camp since you already have a Windows license. I can say from personal experience that there are no issues with Hero Lab via Boot Camp...

Not that I'd expect issues, I mean, with Boot Camp you're running things natively rather than through a virtualization or emulation layer.

Speaking of the Mac version, have you guys reached a point where you could benefit from outside testing? I'm a professional SQA engineer, and have a lot of experience with both Mac and Windows, as well as cross-platform integration issues.

Disclosure: I am, in fact, an Apple employee. I am a QA engineer on the Boot Camp team.

We're not ready for beta testing yet - if we do beta testing for the mac version, we'll likely announce it in our newsletter.

I think what Colen means is....

We already have a long list of people who have offered to help with Beta testing. If we determine that we need additional help, we'll announce it on the forums and/or in the newsletter when we actually begin Beta testing. Rest assured that we WILL be doing Beta testing. :-)

Are the Mac specs available yet? Or are they still in flux?

Sorry, can you clarify what you mean by "mac specs"?

Edit: If this is what you mean, we're initially planning to target OS X 10.5 and above on Intel machines only, although that may be re-evaluated at some point. Does that help?
