I am creating custom categories for my realm and cannot find any way to format them?
What I am looking to do is to change the background of some text sections to specific colours. For example, to have a text box that I have decideded will be "read aloud to players" to be highlighted in blue. Is there a way of marking a certain text box to be GM info from the get go so I don't have to go into it and change it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Alan |

Someone will detail the steps, as I cannot open RW at work: but you do that in the general options - where you can also change the size of the thumb images and so on.

Thanks for getting back Teresa. I cannot find the General Options you refer to?
What I can find is the styles section of Preferences and I cannot for the life of me see see how I can assign the "Read Aloud" style to a particular text snippet in my custom category? Nor can I see how I do this when I'm managing my custom category? Regards Alan |

Yes, - my bad. I don't usually memorise the proper names of things.
Go Manage > Preferences and then choose the "Style" button on the first column (Realm Aspects). This allows you to set the appearance. I don't use RW for gaming, but I believe you have to choose the GM Directions snippet, which means players won't see it. I believe you can turn any snippet into GM Directions by clicking the tool icon of the snippet (the options menu) > click on GM Directions > choose the change. Or just click on the snippet you want and then CTRL+G. Hope this helps. |

You're talking about different aspects of the same thing.
Teresa's instructions are how to set up the formatting, which is what tomponzi found. What tomponzi is looking for is, on each snippet, in the tools menu (the hammer-and-wrench icon to the right of the snippet), the "Snippet Style" option, which will allow you to apply one of the defined styles to the Snippet. |

Except I think he's wanting to set the style in the category definition itself, and not have to do it manually on every topic.
Edit: And the answer appears to be "No." unless I'm missing something. Would be a nice feature, though. Last edited by Mystic Lemur; November 4th, 2016 at 07:48 AM. |

Oops. Yeah, it can't be set on the Category, only on the specific Topic.

Lemur has it, I just did not word it clearly.
It would be nice to have the colour scheme added in the category definition, and the GM directions, rather than having to do it to each snippet manually. Thank you for your replies anyway. |

I agree - let's have unlimited custom styles and allow us to attach them on a snippet-base in the categories. That would be very useful :-)
Vargr Deputy Calendar Champion Legend has it, that the Tarrasque is a huge fighting beast, perpetually hungry. Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after. Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed. |
