Can a member of LW staff please advise how long the Wednesday update will take. Once again my session is in jeopardy.

As a global application, I really hope LW figures out how to do zero-downtime updates at some point.

LWD is not a large company. I know much larger companies with web based services that still have regular downtime. Unfortunately for some being a US based company means that evening downtime in the US falls during daytime hours elsewhere.

This means that gaming groups affected by the downtime will already have met up - rather than giving them enough notice to be able to reorganise a new date for the game. Actually, if one logs in, they usually have an announcement a day or two before "planned" downtimes. Yes, they could also post to the forum, but that's what I think they're trying to avoid. However, in this case, what was advertised as a 1 hour downtime turned into over 7 hours. There was little communication from LWD about why or when the system would show up again. I this case, at least hourly updates on the forum would have been helpful.
