How can I create a new piece of gear?

In short, I'd like to be able to create a piece of gear with all of the information that was given to me by my GM. So that I can have more information than just a name, but a description, etc.

Have you tried out the editor yet? Tools...Launch Editor

If you just want names and description text, then creating your new content won't require any scripting or anything like that - just data entry.
