Subject: Army Builder Software??

I have tried to download the software for the past two days and can't
access their download server for those files. I can get to the web
page and download the manuals but not the program or construction kit.

I have send emails but no response from the company.

Are they out of business?

Are they still supporting this software?

Where can I get a trial version and decent support?

Thanks

Keith

There still in business. They may just be having some probs with the web site. Give Rob a few more days to email you back. It's well worth the wait.

Thanks,

Keith

Subject: Office Relocation and Server Migration Completed!

Hi Folks,

Just an FYI that we have now completed moving our offices to a new
location. The in-house web-server has also been relocated as part of this
process. Despite careful planning and testing, there were still a few
unexpected glitches in the process (and one very stupid thing I did wrong).
So some of you may have encountered problems downloading the product and
getting the automatic updates mechanism to work from Wednesday through
Friday. Sorry about that!!!

The server is now back up and appears to be running smoothly. HOWEVER, the
server has a new IP address. This new address needs to be properly
forwarded around the world to all DNS servers, and that process can often
take up to 24 hours to complete. Therefore, it is possible that the server
will still appear inaccessible for some of you. If this occurs, please be
patient for a little while longer while the new address propogates
everywhere properly. If the problem persists, make sure to flush your cache
and/or force a reload of the web-pages within your web-browser, as some
browsers (notably IE) can be really stupid at times and continue trying to
load the OLD page instead of reloading the NEW page.

We'll be trying to get caught up on all of our email over the weekend
(while also trying to get settled into the new location). If you sent us
email about something, please be patient and we'll get back to you as soon
as we can.

Thanks, Rob

It would be great if you could find out the status of those files and
Shane's plans for them. Simply nudging Shane to get ahold of me on that
would be most helpful. :-)

Thanks, Rob

The syntax you describe below is the OLD syntax, which only works with
percentages. However, it still works for backwards compatability. What you
need to do is use the NEW syntax, which is documented within the
Construction Kit manual. Here's a sample of the new syntax used with mixed
constraint types:

Hero:%max=50&mmax=1+1/1000@1000,Trps:%min=25&%max=100,Mach:umax=3

Hope this helps,
Rob

The reason for all of these problems is that we've been moving our offices
more the 200 miles and relocating the servers at the same time. As a
result, certain pieces of the web-site were down (e.g. online ordering and
product downloads - that latter unintentionally) and we had no email access
during the move. Please see my other post to this list for additional
information.

We are definitely still in business (we just moved to a larger facility)
and we are definitely still supporting the software. However, we're a small
business, so major things like relocation have a significant impact on
things. Sorry about that. :-)

You should be able to download the product as soon as your ISP gets the
updated DNS information for our server. And you should resume getting
decent support from us within the next day or two. Sorry for the
inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

Thanks, Rob
