I am trying to find a way to add the backgrounds and occupations from https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemasteri...s-occupations/

Depending on which one you choose, you can get additional class skills or feats and money. I am not sure how to program this into Hero Lab. Has anyone else worked on this or any idea of where I would even begin to add this in?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Probably I'd add a configurable for this subsystem, where the user can make one or more selections based on earlier picks in other tables.

Is there a way to build this in the editor easily or will I need to learn the coding and macros?

Thanks!

You can certainly do this in the editor, but not easily. Some coding is required because of the multiple tables, skill/feat options, etc involved. In many of the cases, you could copy & modify existing traits to get the effects of many of those backgrounds. If you didn't want to create the tables, you could simply create all the backgrounds and just select the one you want/rolled for.

Current RPG's: Pathfinder (GM), Pathfinder (Player), Gamma World (GM, Pathfinder homebrew).
HeroLab: 3.5 & Pathfinder. HL User Files for PF: Greyhawk Setting, Gamma World (WIP).

DM and player of D&D since 1980.

A long time ago I did this for the Modern files. I ended up just making them traits. The issues you still will run into are the sorting of the trait categories and the starting money (the big one). A lot has changed scene then, but I think those are still issues you might encounter.
