Hey,
I see there's a new update to Hero Lab, but apart from the very short blurb the updater gives, I was wondering if there was an actual changelog to check out exactly what's changed. I usually don't update programs unless I'm sure it's worth it (been bitten by this too many time). The fact it indicates a save format change is making me that much more wary since I wouldn't be able to "roll back" if needed. |

Just bumping this up in case it's been missed. I'm really curious.

When the updater finishes, it offers to launch the readme - that's where the chagelog can be found. That readme is a .pdf file in the docs folder within the main Hero Lab folder, if you wanted to read it at another time.

Just to be sure: can I read this readme before doing the actual update? I can't remember how the update process goes, whether it downloads and then asks to install, or just does the whole thing without prompting.

No, you would need to finish the install first.
The new save format has been in use by thousands of people for several months now, with no errors or data loss reported. |

OK, fair enough. I'm always wary of updates in general, nothing against you specifically Thanks for the answers!
