Pictures are worth a thousand words. But they are separated from the text they support....

Thumbnails are smaller than my thumb on-screen and other than letting me see at a glance that the content is not blank, the thumbnails don't help. And as I age, that's only going to get worse.

I'd like a larger default and would really like 2"x2" as the default if user selectable size is not an option.

Could there be multiple Smart Image (Map) options that have different thumbnail presentations? current default, 1"x1", 2"x2", 3"x3"

I'd love to skip the thumbnail altogether and just put a user-defined size of the actual graphic inline with the other snippets for some graphics.

I totally agree. Being able to select the size of an image snippet thumbnail would be amazing.

Agree also, +1

Sleet was enjoying a tasty beverage at his local tavern, when a Tarrasque showed up in the local area. He managed to valiantly get on it's back and ride it. How he did it is a mystery to this day...

This is becoming an issue for me as well. +1 for this.

Specifically, I would love to be able to choose between three sizes when adding an image or map: Small, Medium, and Large, with the ability to set the size of each in the program settings to fit each user's preferences (with options for specific pixel widths, original image width, fit to page width, etc.). So if I want Small images to be 80px wide, Medium images to be 300px wide, and Large images to fit to page width, I can set that in my prefs and then all I need to do when adding an image snippet is just click on the S/M/L radio buttons to pick a size. Maybe even throw in a Custom size option in the image/map snippet for people who want to pick a different size for specific images.

This bothers me too.

I'm not sure exactly what solution we'll be going with, or when we'll get around to implementing it. But it's not something I'm happy with currently, so expect something better in the future.
