RW manages multiple "Navigation panes" on the left side. Often I find myself searching for the current topic I have opened, because it is not in the current view of the Navigation pane.

Here my suggestions:

1. There should be a button that "jumps" the navigation pane to the current topic I have opened.

2. When opening a topic in a new tab, this topic should be visible in the navigation pane as well.

For "1." I just heard that there is a shortcut already:
"Ctrl" + "+" moves the navigation pane to the current topic

Is "Show in Current Navigation Ctrl+=" working for you?

Have you tried it? It isn't working for me. Does nothing.

On many keyboards, Ctrl-Shift-= is Ctrl-+

The same key on my keyboard holds the = and + symbols, depending on shift. It is not possible to type Ctrl-Shift-=, I think, because that becomes Crtl-+. Certainly, using Ctrl and the + key from the numeric keypad seems to work.
