Hey I found out that I am going to be able to go to Gen Con this year but that I can not reg until I get there so ....
I saw that you are having a work shop about your programs but I was wondering if you knew if space would be open still or am I out of luck? PS I would really like to understand how to "program" in information into HL and Army Builder if that is possible and if you knew the specifics of your Gen Con events so that I may attempt to get into them when I walk in. Thank you all |

I got this info from this site: http://gencon.highprogrammer.com/gencon-indy-2008.cgi
The Hero Lab seminar is at the Embassy Suites hotel in the Coronation I ballroom. The event is Saturday August 16th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and covers how to use the integrated Editor and the Authoring Kit to create custom data sets. Only four people pre-registered, so there is plenty of space available for the event. I couldn't find anything on Army Builder, but I didn't search for long. THanks LfS you rock, I have been looking for it but I have nto had the time of late since the events update. (which has been over a week now), I wonder if I should bring my laptop so I can do the work as it is presented or how they plan on working the seminar? I shall have to find out thank you again.

I was there and stopped by the booth. They seemed pretty busy to me.

That being said, GenCon went extremely well for us. Our booth was busy about 95% of the show, and it was *packed* for about 60-70% of the show. Our sales were great and we had quite a few people coming back to buy Hero Lab after also checking out some of the other tools that were available at the show. So it seems we're winning in the comparative analysis category against our competition. :-) The big highlight for us was on Friday night. Hero Lab was honored with a 2008 ENnie Award in the Best Aid or Accessory category. Very cool indeed! It seemed that *lots* of people are jonesing for the Authoring Kit, so we're focused on that right now. Well, *I* am, at least. Colen is focused on getting Ultimate Power added for M&M, along with an assortment of small stuff for d20 that should be out next week. The near-term release dates we're striving to hit right now are: Next Week - Minor update with bug fixes and what-not End of September - Ultimate Power for M&M End of October - Authoring Kit with Savage Worlds and lots of docs Once the Authoring Kit goes out, we'll be getting caught up on Changeling for WoD, the Cortex System, and whatever else I'm forgetting right now. I think that covers all the important bits. Let me know if I forgot anything important. |

I've never even heard of any of your competition (since I don't play DnD) and they don't seem to care about other markets, so you're a shoe in there.

Great news about how much business you did at the con. I am really excited to see the Authoring kit (like just about everyone, from the sounds of it). You guys Are really getting things done. Please keep up the great work.
