hey that wasn't ment to be criticism I'm grateful and really like
your work. As I don't play all races (didn't even finish one army,
Imp Fists) I see the english file more as a compendium ) Quick Ref.
or so )

> So whatīs up? Got some spare time?

Spare time ? uhh .. where can I get some

Being serious .. I don't mind to help .. but I still don't have all
the rulesets. What race would you propose ?

> bye
> Wolfgang

Michael
aka Hitcher

But there is still one thing I don't understand ...

When I create a SM roster .. they (LOTD) cost 20 and have WS of 5 but
only one cc attack

When I choose to create a LOTD roster .. its 25 Points with a WS of 4
and 2 cc attacks ...

why is this ?

One fine day in the middle of the night, Hitcher@gmx.li got up to write:

>Can you tell me the no. by any chance ?

The army was in WD236. The single squad was somewhat before that, I'm
not sure where exactly.

The two versions were:

1) A Legion of the Damned squad, which you could add to your normal
Space Marine armies. It had WS5 and 1A.
2) A Legion of the Damned army, in which the standard trooper had WS4
and 2A.

Dunno why they decided to do that.

Approximately June.

Alright, Iīll get back to you and Michael as soon as AB 2.0
is released and Colin has made his next update thereafter.

I will translate all the non-heretic Space Marines, Dark
Eldar and Orks.

I might do partial translations of Chaos Space Marines and
Eldar (only names, no rules) and I will prepare (and patch)
all other datafiles so you can start working on them in
ABCreator right away.

So you both can think about the rest...

>btw, I prefer english files too, because
>some of the german name are quite
>off track.

Itīs a matter of taste and who you play with. Anyhow, itīs
much easier to play with the rules printed on the roster in
german if your opponent does not understand english good
enough. And then you also can do the roster files for him,
so I prefer the german files (I guess thatīs why I started
working on them in the first place...).

>I have finished half of the 2nd Edition
>files by now, only working with the
>german codices but try to stick to
>english as much as I can.

As I restarted my miniature interest right when 3rd Ed WH40k
appeared, I didnīt care too much about 2nd Ed (bought the
codices and rulebooks nonetheless, I thought they are worth
it just for the background that unfortunately is missing in
the new ones...).

bye
Wolfgang

Latest word: If you have the CD version, yes. People without the Cd
version will have to pay a few $ to upgrade to the CD, because the
registration mechanism is changing.

Hi Colin and others. I have discovered another major problem with the
new file. I went started putting together an Eldar army and discovered
SM wargear listed in Farseer wargear list. So I went and check several
other armies and it was there to.

Are you using version 1.4c of Army Builder? It sounds like it. If so,
upgrade to v1.4d immediately and your problems should be solved.

Version 2.0 will be released in June - probably towards the end of the month.

Thanks, Rob

Upgrading to the CD will be an OPTION for current registered users - it is
NOT required. Registered users will also be able to upgrade to the new
registered version, which will be using a new mechanism.

Hope that clarifies,
Rob

Owners of the CD will be able to upgrade for free. Registered users will
need to pay a small (probably US$8) upgrade fee, as the entire registration
mechanism is being changed over to a new mechanism. Details on this process
are not released yet.

Thanks, Rob
