Greetings, I have finally gotten my own copy of army builder (friends gripping that I always decended on them before tourneys), but I came across a problem. I guess that the version that my friend had was version 2, and it included the options for building an Imperial Guard Armored Company (from White Dwarf 295 I believe).
Excited to make a list that I could actually save! (instead of just printing and deleting) I was sad to not find the Armored Company as an option in the version 3 files. I tried to find it under the sub-headings for Imperial guard, but it wasn't there. What I would like to know is whether I have overlooked where it is located, if I need to download it as a file (I thought that I was up to date on the 40k files, but I might not be), or if it hasn't been brought over yet from version 2. If the later is the case, do we have any idea when those files will be made available? Part of my reason for purchasing army builder was that it actually had the Armored Company rules (in version 2) where it was lacking in GamesWorkshop's own "Armies of the Imperium". I hope that this will occur soon. Thanks for your time. |

I'm the IG datafile developer, and I can certainly say you are not missing it. I haven't been able to complete famous guard regiments, or the newly updated armoured company. GW just made the rules for the AC available on the web. As I'm also the Tyranid developer, I have been pretty busy with that one too. Things are getting settled a bit so that I should be able to start working on IG again. Armoured Company will be grouped in with the work on the famous guard regiments, so hopefully you won't have to wait long for the files.

Thanks for the speedy reply... seems that you have your hands full so I wont rush you... besides, I have just purchased a new tyranid army, so I am currently dependant upon you and your great work for both armies!
Good luck with both projects, I really appreciate the work that you all put into this project. |
