Two things:
1) I think I figured out why you can't recreate the cost of the Berzerker Dreadnought from the White Dwarf. I'm guessing that Graham used the cost of twin-linked Boltguns from the Chaos list (5 points), insted of making a twin-linked Boltgun from the new rules (3 points). That explains the 2 point difference. 2) In Army Builder, is it possible to adjust the speed setting for vehicles? I was trying to recreate the Dark Eldar vehicle, and couldn't change the speed from Normal to Fast. Did I just miss something obvious? -David __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Shopping - Thousands of Stores. To increase a vehicles speed, you give it the souped up engines ability,
look under that heading and you will find that walkers and war machines that take this option are then counted as being Agile. Tanks and other things (except immobile of course) become Fast. That is why you can't make a walker fast or a tank agile. To make a tank (the dark eldar one your talking about) fast, you must make it either a tank or light vehicle. Then when you give it souped up engines, it will make the vehicle fast. ----> Lumbering Vehicles and Walkers can become Agile with a souped
up engine. Everything else gets fast with a souped up engine. that's only with souped up engines, there's a points chart for giving vehicles their speed (Agile: small +10 pts; normal +15 pts; war machine +30 pts - or something like that) trent -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor -------------------------~-~> eLerts It's Easy. No, I think the error here is Colin's (no offence If the only option to change the speed of a vehicle was to give it souped-up engines, than this chart wouln't apper: Cost Of Speed The cost of the vehicles speed is found on the chart below, by cross-referencing the vehicles size and speed. Speed Small Normal War Machine Immobile 0 0 0 Normal +5 pts +10 pts +20 pts Lumbering +5 pts +10 pts +20 pts Agile +10 pts +15 pts +30 pts Fast +10 pts +20 pts +40 pts Flyer +40 pts +40 pts +40 pts > That is why you can't make a walker fast or a tank agile. why can't you... it seems rather simple to make an agile eldar/dark eldar tank... or what happens of you wanted to build a void phantom (the eldar scout titan).... trent -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor -------------------------~-~> eLerts It's Easy. I understand the Souped-up Engine concept, having read
the article in White Dwarf. But there's also a Cost of Speed chart that allows you to set a vehicles speed, based on it's size. The Dark Eldar Rampage, from the article, is a Light (or Small) Fast vehicle. According to the chart, this should be +10 points. Souped-up Engines are only for Lumbering Vehicles and Walkers, not other vehicles. -David --- DiPonio <DiPonio@voyager.net> wrote: > To increase a vehicles speed, you give it the souped > up engines ability, > look under that heading and you will find that > walkers and war machines that > take this option are then counted as being Agile. > Tanks and other things > (except immobile of course) become Fast. > > That is why you can't make a walker fast or a tank > agile. > > > To make a tank (the dark eldar one your talking > about) fast, you must make > it either a tank or light vehicle.
