One thing with Fantasy Grounds Fridays that wasn't mention is that you can join them when they do the stream (which ends up getting posted to YouTube) and ask questions. they usually make an announcement what the stream will be about and often have guests from other companies like Paizo who do the stream and the streams often focus on certain things.
May be we could get a weekly or semi-weekly RW stream or discord chat. Also, Hero Lab and Fantasy Grounds got mentioned and you can import a Hero Lab made character into FG easily. The method varies depending on the system. FG also has some community made extensions to help with some of the campaign stuff RW does. I miss the video and text/picture (website) tutorials LWD use to do for RW as you could get looks at how certain modules were set up in it. Just having those again would be a helpful as I always pick up new things seeing how . |

Thank you for the insight, Acenoid. I very much would like to know what people would most like to see in our future videos. I've been looking for companies that might have videos worth role modeling for our wolf pack. I'll check out Introversion. Thanks for the recommendation! These guys. right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZL4NCrgMhYA |

Ugh. Yet another site. Until they can manage to support updates to their own Web site--no thanks.
DnD Beyond is the best example I have of what I find helpful. They may use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumbler, Reddit, etc.--but I wouldn't know. And I don't have to. The announcements, change logs, videos, forums are all available from their Web pages. There is a change log page that is nothing but change announcements, but they also post about changes in their forums. I like not having to hunt down news. Especially about updates and roadmap changes. It also helps that they have good articles and videos with tutorials or about DnD in general. Now, DnD Beyond is part of Twitch, which is an Amazon company, so they have far deeper pockets and more resources than LWD. I'm happy with just posting updates in these forums. The bigger issue is that they just are not going to have the pace of development to support the update schedule that many posting here seem to expect. As with everything out there one might consume, you take what you want and you leave the rest. So shall it be with LWD videos, right?
As I am at conventions anyway carrying the LWD banner across bloody battlefields (dern LARPS)... I'm not being taken off task or denying my resources to other departments by allotting time to shoot some sweet video. I'll shoot seminars so people can see them because some people want to see them. I'll shoot some promotional material for those who might want to learn more about what we offer. I'll shoot a monitor playing all of daplunk's tutorial YouTube videos and just dub over his voice with my own, taking all credit. That kind of thing. The forums will still be the place to go for updates and roadmaps and notices. The video content will be there for the folks who want it. Unless my lobbyists come through and convince the governments of the world to force all of you to watch every last thing I create so I can be called the most specialist boy. Sing it, Sam Cooke!
