It is certainly the only product which will allow you to create your own game system. I don't see this being in HLO for a long time.

If you're talking about the Authoring Kit in HLC, yes, we agree, can't be beat!

It's a big investment to create a new game system, so not many people in the world are willing, or have the time, to do it.

I do have to say, just running through the walkthrough (which I think you can do in the demo version as long as you don't try to build a portfolio) teaches you so much of how the elements of the editor work...

Or at least those elements which were present in the HLC engine when the walkthrough was written - it is missing lots of recent improvements.

Hmmm... I know of some of those, but I didn't think there were that many. If you know of more, I've got a list here. Admittedly, too, there are things which technically exist in the documentation, but which they didn't use in the walkthrough.
