Help with skill error on drone minion

I'm getting an error, understandably, that my skills ranks are higher than my level, however there is no way to reduce the ranks. They were preset at 4 and if I hover over the ranks it shows a minimum of 4. Any idea how I can correct this, in this case this is a drone minion.
