I've got a Move Object 10 power with Improved Critical +4 and Precise. The character has +10 ranged attack.

I would expect this to result in an attack with +10, and 25 DC, with crit from 16-20.

Instead it results with 20DC. Considering this is an attack that resolves as Strength, it should then result in a Dodge (to avoid), then Toughness to resolve damage. So wouldn't the DC be 25 (10+15 base for toughness checks)? Is this a bug or a misunderstanding on my part?

Move Object by default isn't damaging, so the DC20 would be used for disarms, grabs and trips. Since you have maximum Improved Crit on it, I assume you'd want the Damaging Extra, and that gives the DC25.

Thanks, this did resolve my issue. Green Ronin is very weird in how they wrote the power description. Often, it seems, the power description will include things that actually require you to take extra on the power. I had understood Damaging to be "to damage objects directly" since the power description already says you can throw objects using strength.
