Do some of the changes not appear in Realms that were created before the update?
I noticed that the change "The “Planet” category has been renamed to “Planetary Body” for clarity" shows up when I create a new Realm, but didn't change in my existing realm

Did you unprotect the category?

I think I did, to add a "Source" tag, which I believe has now also been added

I haven't gotten too far in setting up the Realm, maybe I will start over with a new version.
