Thanks, I do have the 1.2 Army builder CD. Is there a discount rate for upgrading to a 2.x CD? I'll try the launcher.exe trick when I get home and see if that fixes it, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm using the armybuilder directory that's on my Windows partition, and I do have that installed correctly there, and the CD-ROM is set up correctly on the WINE install.

In what way does launcher.exe change the registry the first time that Army Builder runs? Just in case I have to do this manually myself.

Do you mean that you didn't install Army Builder from within WINE? If not,
then you should perhaps try that; Army Builder sets up some settings in the
registry that it needs to run. If those aren't present (I don't know how
WINE works with respect to the registry, so I don't know if what you've
done is in fact entirely acceptable) it will very likely have problems.
