For some reason I'm getting a notice when I try to open the release notes that I don't have a program associated with the file type. Most likely I've broken the association while doing something else.

Could someone tell me the file type of the release notes so I can re-associate it?

Thanks in advance!

I figured .txt, but creating an association between .txt files and notepad (also tried wordpad) did not do the trick.

Release notes are in RTF format. I believe Word Pad should be able to open them up.

Thanks, David. Oddly, while I can associate .txt files with Word Pad that option isn't available to me for .rtf files. It used to be, I know.

In any case, I associated .rtf files with Word, and it works fine now.
