So I've been trying to add "Suffering Knowledge" to a character, but in the exploit list this item does not appear. Is that just me having a weird mix of addons active or is it actually not part of the HL files?

It's not there. I filed a bug report about it a few weeks back.

Is that the same reason I cannot find Armored Caster (Ex) (3PP)?

Armored Caster is not by Paizo. The 3PP means 3rd Party Publisher. In this case John Brazer Enterprises. So it's not in Hero Lab to begin with.

It is up to the 3PP to make the data package. The community does a lot, so you might be able to suggest it to them.
