If I want to get rid of the Pathfinder campaign deities and replace them with my own, do I have to make a custom data set or is there some easier way to do it?

I asked this question a while back. It's easy to exclude an individual deity. The hard part is that to exclude all deities, you have to exclude each individual one.

You would want to associate that exclusion with a source, of course. (Have you ever heard of a talking horse?) That way, if you want to play in the world with your own deities, you just select your source. And if you want to play a standard game with all deities, you deselect your source.

Creating your own, custom data set for pathfinder would be a much more major undertaking than excluding deities.

Ummm no you don't. You can just exclude by Deity Category and its really easy to generate such a thing in a script. That's how for Eberron you can just turn off all the deities except Eberron ones including custom ones. No way did I manually enter every single deity ever done in HL!

Just FYI this question has been asked and answered dozens of times on this board. HERE is a post I did two years ago with a example script even.

This is on my to-do list to add an adjustment to the community stuff that can do this for others. That should make it very easy to setup custom deity lists.

In my defense:

I forgot that there was mention of a potential future update, which I guess has since been implemented.

I think it was that exact thread that prompted the addition of the Deity Category tag. That way you could include/exclude whole large groups of Deities....
