Not sure if this is bug or working as intended. Have a cleric of Nethys (favored weapon is staff) who has a +1 Striking staff of healing which according to the description in HLO is Melee Simple Weapon (clubs).

The class feat deadly simplicity has prereq of “ deity with a simple favored weapon, trained with your deity's favored weapon”. Feat increases the damage die of the diety’s favored weapon by one step (d4->d6 etc), staff does 1d4 normally.

HLO is not showing the one-handed or two-handed damage with the staff with the next step up of damage dice, should it? Is there something about a staff of healing that causes it not to be a simple weapon when used to attack?

Haven’t done bug report as I’m not sure if it is or not, any thoughts?

The mechanics are not supported. But if you have Shadow Chemosh's package installed you can put in an adjustment to raise the weapon's damage die the way you want it to show.

Never mind, I forgot we were talking about HLO, not Classic

No Community Pack for HLO, I'm afraid. EDIT: There is, however, an "Override Weapon Damage Dice" Adjustment in PF2 for HLO.
