hehe I *am* using windows 2000, and yeah, it's pretty stable. Still
doesn't compare to linux, though. Anyway, after much shouting and gnashing of teeth, I managed to recover it. Another program (a great one, but a little tiny typo slipped to the autoupdater) deleted my root directory of windows. one small stop to the boot disks later, I'm back on the saddle. False alarm. As for the other question: never mind, after those clarifications I asked for it's clear that something like that is not needed. Case closed, but thanks for tossing the ideas around. (Yes, I tweak and install/uninstall a lot of programs). You may want to stop poking at it. (Or you could put in another drive and leave it as the windows drive). This would eliminate headaches for you and Rob. -- Jim Williamson <jim@timewarpcomics.com <mailto:jim@timewarpcomics.com>> TimeWarp Comics & Games (973) 857-9788 www.timewarpcomics.com <http://www.timewarpcomics.com> ------------------------ Yahoo!
