Just out of interest, do you know what proportion of Hero Lab licence revenue has been generated by each game system?
Or, if you like, which game systems are the most popular, and how popular are they compared to the others? Cheers Richard |

There are polls taken by LW to see which system the community wants them to work on, that might provide the informkation you are looking for.

^_^ Well, Lone Wolf could probably very easily give us a list of how many of each license has been bought were they willing to reveal such information. That would be the direct answer of "which system sells the most units". Which system generates the most revenue would require a bit more logic to accomodate data packs and their differing prices.

This *is* a somewhat contentious question, depending to what extent everyone is expecting data. I definitely can't provide any actual numbers, but I can offer some basic information.
Over the past couple of months, Pathfinder has been our clear #1 game system and Mutants & Masterminds has been #2. Please keep in mind that the numbers for those games have definitely been impacted by two important recent developments. For Pathfinder, we secured the official license from Paizo only a few months ago, and that has had a significant influence. For M&M, we just released the M&M 3rd Edition Beta data files in conjunction with the new DC Adventures book, and new releases always experience a spike in sales. All the other game systems are selling at a pretty steady rate for us, with a definite incline on the sales curve. In other words, all games are selling more each quarter for us, as Hero Lab gains in popularity and positive word-of-mouth spreads. That's pretty much all I can say without having to consult the lawyers about what I can/can't say. So hopefully that gives you what you were looking for. |

In all candour, the reason I am asking is because I'm imagining that the amount of effort you put in to each game system will be a reflection of how much revenue you are getting from them, and given in particular how quiet the White Wolf forums are, I'm wondering whether that particular one is now dead (ish).
