Hi all, am I the only one frustrated by the update interface? Here's what I see on the first screen when opening the program:
1. A bunch of individual games, each with an individual update button. (I downloaded some of the games as demos, even though I don't have licenses for all of them.) 2. After I click to download, I have to wait for the download to finish, THEN I have to click "Import". (I'm not sure why anyone would want to download an update and then not import it, but then I'm not a programmer so could easily be missing something.) Repeat this tedious process for all 10 games. 3. If I go into the "Find Updates" interface (a seemingly redundant and even less attractive interface), it doesn't even tell me which updates are new or which are installed. I tried checking "Auto confirm downloads & imports", thinking this would streamline the update process, but this check box doesn't seem to do anything at all, and becomes unchecked next time I use this interface. Here's my suggestion: 1. A preferences pane that lets me choose to automatically update and import all installed games, and the choice of whether to do this on startup or on exit. 2. In lieu of #1, in the opening screen, use check boxes (or something) to let me download ALL the updates at once. On this same screen, give me a check box that lets me automatically import said files. Discuss. Thanks! |

Also, when I load a game, it says "One or more data sets is available to update...", but when I go into the update window within a game, as in #3 above, it doesn't tell me WHICH update is available. First of all, if there's something to update, why wasn't it updated in the big opening screen with its exclamation points? Second, once I get to the update screen, I can't figure out which thing needs to update....
