Is there a reason my prefixes would be showing up after my topic name rather than before? For example, I enter an event, give it a name and a prefix of "Mission 01." But rather than showing before the name (and thus helping me sort) it shows up in parentheses after the name. If I also enter a suffix, both the prefix and the suffix go in the same set of parentheses separated by a dash.

Am I missing a simple setting somewhere, or is this a bug?

You're missing a simple setting somewhere. Well, two of them. :)

Click the Hammer-and-Wrench icon on the tab for the Navigation Pane (or press F6) and pick "Show Prefix Before Name Where Available". Then below that, in the same menu, pick "Sort (Topics|Articles)/By Prefix".

Hope this helps.

It does - thanks! Must've had a blind spot when I was looking for that setting...

Pretty much everyone misses it. You're not the first to have to ask.

It would be good - and I think I've suggested that a while ago already - if there would be an option to limit the auto-link to "visible topics" in current view (a solution would be required for the mechanics section which is basically not filtered at all) but this way it would be possible to limit the auto detection on "relevant" topics. Otherwise you might get matches to very old / different topics, that you do not want linked right now...

This would be more useful when implementing adventures and not world building though I think

In a way this feature will be implemented by the export/import mechanism. I plan to put every future campaign in a separate realm that imports the common basic world stuff. As far as I suspect there won't be linking across realm boundaries.
