I started working on a major data entry project last night, and I realized it is the first time I have entered a large number of NPCs at one time since the Alias function was updated to the new Manage Names interface. I already knew I liked the new functions, but last night cemented it - great job, LWD team!
However, I do have one question. Is there a way to set up the Manage Names dialog so additional names added default to having "Show in Navigation" turned off? The vast majority of the time I use additional names just to make linking smoother, so it's first names of unique individuals or common shorter versions of full name/title combinations (e.g., "King Eodred Arabasti II" gets an an additional name of "Eodred II"). As such, I almost never want these extra names to show up in the navigation panel. I love the option of keeping them out, but having to remember to turn it off every time I enter an additional name is a bit cumbersome. |

I too would prefer that the default option to be NOT to show other names in the navigation.

+1 to this.
Vargr Deputy Calendar Champion Legend has it, that the Tarrasque is a huge fighting beast, perpetually hungry. Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after. Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed. |

+1 as well. This would save a lot of checkbox unclicking. I have a lot of aliases and maybe two are showing.

I must agree that defaulting to un-checked is better. Many of the names I add are for plurals, for example.

I'd have to agree too. I haven't been working on much lately but I can certainly see that for most cases, it would be better un-checked. I just don't need to see most aliases.

+1 to this thread. But where is the "Manage Names" Section at?

Also Ctrl+Shift+A brings up the Manage Names dialog.
