If a thing is assigned to multiple sources, it's available if any of those sources is checked - so it sounds like all you need is a single copy of these things, assigned to the two sources.

Yea correct, but I thought the issue is that the two things while the same name have slightly different descriptions? This seems to happen often in 3.5 as a later version of spell, power, or feat will be worded slightly different.
So the only way to have them both is to have them each separate source marked and then have the Name show which source they are from. I don't think d20 has the Pathfinder enhancement yet that shows the Source something is from? If it does then we don't even need to change the name to include the book. If I misunderstand and the two powers are exactly the same then yes we should remove the duplicate and just have it source marked to both books. Sorry. I intended to specify that. The powers that overlap between the two are identical (although the wording may differ slightly, the power still works the same way). So I think the solution is to do what Mathias said. Remove the RotW powers, and add that as a source for the ones from Complete Psionics. The third one will simply need to be adjusted to match protocol. I'll do that now and send you an update.

chiefweasel,
If you look inside your 'RotW - Spells' file under Psionics, you'll see there are some psionic powers. Each of them are named something like "3 - Contrarian Urge" and have ids like "sPsiConUr" (I forget exactly what id was used for these since mine no longer has them). Based on how the psionic powers were done originally, the id should be something more like "sPsi30031". The id breaks down as follows: s = spell (or psionic power in this case..I'm using s because that's how Lone Wolf did it) Psi = Psion. This power exists in the Psion power list. 3 = 3rd level power 0031 = 31st 3rd level Psion power added to Hero Lab (after the powers from EPHB and CPsi) Does that answer your question? BTW, I sent the changes I made to you, Shadow. Did you get them? Last edited by Sendric; November 3rd, 2010 at 10:07 AM. |
